Hof Ehrenfels Hotel - Mainz

The location was perfect for shopping and strolling to the Christmas Market-only a minute away! The easy check-in. I could have stayed longer, but alas, responsibilities awaited!

It's a bit too charming for my fitness goals.

We only stayed here for 3 nights, as we didn't have time, even so everything was great. The location couldn't be more marvellous and super within walking distance of everything. Altstadt district was worth staying in. They gave us an exceptionally nice and fine room with nice view.

Large room with comfortable bed and smoke detectors for safety measures. Outstanding breakfast with variety of options to choose from...

The location near the cathedral is really good, providing fine views right from the room. Breakfast offered a diverse selection, with buttery croissants and local wines that enhanced the experience. A charming courtyard restaurant served delicious meals, but it gets a bit busy during peak times, which might was good.

The hotel offered an excellent location right near the Christmas Market. It can be confusing to enter due to the restaurant setup.

The hotel was wonderful small and absolutely charming, truly enjoyed street view from our standard twin room. The venue location was good right in the middle of the downtown historic area.

There was free Wi-Fi throughout the property and the service in general was welcoming. The staff were helpful and had a sense of humour. The location was excellent and perfect in the historical centre of the city...

The location is unbeatable, right near the cathedral with fine views from the room. My stay in a Standard Twin Room was comfortable, with a great shower and quality towels. Breakfast was excellent, offering both standard continental options and some unique treats like local wines. Dining at the attached restaurant was good, but be sure to book ahead to avoid wait times, as it's a popular spot. One downside was the noise from the street. It could be a bit disruptive at times. The room also felt a bit sparse in decor and could use some warmth to enhance the ambiance. The combination of a charming atmosphere, really good food, and location were nice.

The location is seriously unbeatable 🙌 Right in the heart of the old town. The breakfast was superb too. A bit noisy at times though due to its lively setting.

Excellent views of the cathedral

The layout felt odd since the entrance is shared with a restaurant, which can complicate check-in. The first-floor room above the restaurant was noisy due to foot traffic, and only one key is provided. Wi-Fi signal strength varied, a hassle at times.

charming but in need of some updates

The location of this quaint hotel was fabulous. I enjoyed the large, comfortable room that provided a great night's sleep. The breakfast buffet had many good options, including the tempting selection of pastries and the unexpected choice of wine to start the day. The view of the surrounding landmarks added a special touch to the experience.

The charming atmosphere felt slightly dated.

Amazing hotel with its excellent wi-fi, comfortable non-smoking rooms, and accommodating staff. They helped me with directions to attractions on my first stay. I can't recommend it enough, and I'm coming back for a weekend!

The location of Hof Ehrenfels is really good, situated in the heart of Mainz with easy access to the cathedral and other nearby attractions. The breakfast selection was excellent, with high-quality items and even local wines. The twin room was spacious and clean.

The bathroom was smaller than expected.
